This policy describes how personal data is processed when you visit lucerna.luminosfilm.com (the “Site”). It is written to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable ePrivacy rules. In the spirit of the product it presents, the short version is: this Site collects as close to nothing as a website can.

2. What we collect — and what we don’t
We do not collect: accounts, names, e-mail addresses, payment details, analytics profiles, advertising identifiers, or any content you create in the Lucerna app. The Site has no sign-up forms, no newsletter, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, and no advertising. Fonts and every other asset are served from our own server — your visit triggers no requests to third-party services.
We process only:
- Server logs. Like virtually every web server on the internet, our hosting infrastructure records technical access data: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, HTTP status, and the browser’s user-agent string.
- Local preferences on your device. Your language choice and whether you have already seen the opening animation are stored in your own browser (localStorage / sessionStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. See the Cookie Policy.

4. Retention
Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted or anonymised, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.
5. Recipients and transfers
Log data is processed on infrastructure operated by Luminos Film S.r.l. on its own self-hosted infrastructure, located in the European Union. Data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. No transfers outside the European Economic Area take place. If this changes, this policy will be updated first.
6. The Lucerna application
This policy covers the Site only. The Lucerna app is designed so that its analysis tools run on your Mac: scripts and project data are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers by the app’s core features. When you co-write, edits travel between the collaborators’ devices using Apple’s infrastructure (iCloud); they do not pass through servers operated by us. Purchases made through the Mac App Store are processed by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to privacy@luminosfilm.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Given that the only personal data we hold are short-lived technical logs, we may need additional information to identify your requests within them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy — for example if we ever add features that process data. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. Substantial changes will be highlighted on this page.
